Tax Free Savings Account. Annually you are allowed to deposit $5000. Any profits, could also be losses of course, made with this are tax free. FOR EVER. Yep, for ever. So if you invest it wisely, aggressively, you can make a lot of money and maybe even secure your future, financially that is. This is only possible per January 2 of 2009, the Canadian government wants to give more possibilities to citizens to save up for major events in their lives. Not paying taxes helps. Makes sense, right. So Marco opened an TFSA account today, guided by a very good looking Kathryn, and is going to hit the stock markets. Maybe I can finance the Jeep and the Ford, would be convenient. Oh and another nice feature of Alberta; as of yesterday, 01-01-09, all health care contributions have been waived i.e. $0. Thanks to a huge tax surplus. (Read oil money, some call this dirty money). Thus far I like it out here. Nice touch, eh, the prism.
